This Privacy Policy explains what information Nodus (“Nodus”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the Nodus desktop application and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Nodus is a desktop tool that connects a streamer’s TikTok LIVE events to in‑game reactions in games such as Minecraft.
1. Information we collect
Account & license data. When you purchase a subscription, our payment provider (see “Payments” below) shares with us your email address and subscription/license status so we can grant and verify access. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Data you enter in the app. Your TikTok username, trigger configurations, widget and voice settings. These are stored primarily locally on your own computer so the app can function.
Live stream event data. While connected, the app reads public events from your own TikTok LIVE (gifts, likes, follows, chat) through TikTok’s live data in order to trigger the in‑game actions you configured. This is processed in real time and is not sold.
Basic technical/diagnostic data. The app keeps local log files on your machine to help you and us troubleshoot problems. Crash or error details may be sent to us only when you choose to share a log file.
Website. This landing site stores a language preference in your browser (localStorage) and does not use advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
To provide the service — connect to your stream, run your triggers, and deliver the features you subscribed to.
To grant, verify and manage your subscription and license.
To provide support and fix bugs when you contact us or share a log.
To comply with legal and tax obligations related to your purchase.
3. Payments
Payments and subscriptions are processed by our reseller / Merchant of Record, which acts as the seller for your transaction, handles billing, and manages applicable taxes. Your payment details are entered on the provider’s secure checkout — we never see or store your card data. Their handling of your payment information is governed by their own privacy policy.
4. Third‑party services
Nodus relies on a small number of third parties strictly to make features work:
TikTok — to read the public live events of your own stream.
Our payment provider / Merchant of Record — to process subscriptions.
Microsoft text‑to‑speech — to voice chat messages when you enable that feature.
These services are used only to deliver the functionality you request. Nodus is not affiliated with TikTok, Mojang or Microsoft.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed above, as needed to run the service, or where required by law.
6. Data retention & your rights
Most of your configuration lives on your own device and is removed when you uninstall the app or delete its data folder. Account/license records are kept for as long as your subscription is active and as required for tax/accounting purposes. You may request access to, or deletion of, the account data we hold by contacting us at the address below.
7. Children
Nodus is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page.
